Vítor Hugo Simão do Vale Rocha (born April 13, 1972 in Oslo , Norway ) is a former Portuguese sailor .
successes
Hugo Rocha took part in the Olympic Games three times . In 1992 he finished 24th in the 470 dinghy with Eduardo Seruca in his Olympic debut in Barcelona . With Nuno Barreto he won the bronze medal four years later in Atlanta when they finished third with 62 points behind the Ukrainian and British boats. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 he competed in the boat class Tornado and did not get beyond 16th place in this. At world championshipsRocha secured the silver medal together with Nuno Barreto in Tel Aviv in 1997 . In 1997 and 1998 they became European champions together.
At the beginning of 2016 he was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Order of the Infante Dom Henrique .
