Nuno Miguel Santos Barreto (born April 29, 1972 in Lisbon ) is a former Portuguese sailor .
successes
Nuno Barreto took part in the Olympic Games three times . With Hugo Rocha , he won the bronze medal in the 470 dinghy at his Olympic debut in Atlanta in 1996 , when they finished third with 62 points behind the Ukrainian and British boats. At the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and 2004 in Athens , he entered each in the class of boat Tornado and both times did not come beyond the 16th Place. At world championships , Barreto secured the silver medal together with Hugo Rocha in Tel Aviv in 1997 . In 1997 and 1998 they became European champions together.
At the beginning of 2016 he was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Order of the Infante Dom Henrique .
