Stephen DeLancey "Steve" Benjamin (born September 29, 1955 in Glen Cove , New York ) is a former American sailor .
successes
Steve Benjamin took part in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles in the 470 dinghy . Together with Chris Steinfeld , he finished second behind Luis Doreste and Roberto Molina and ahead of Thierry Peponnet and Luc Pillot . With a total of 43 points, they received the silver medal. Even before the Games, they had won the silver medal together at the 1981 World Championships in Quiberon and at the 1983 Pan American Games in Caracas .
Benjamin graduated from Yale University in 1978 .
