The Hundsbächel is a 4 km long right tributary of the Schwarzbach . The entire length of the stream lies within the boundaries of the municipality of Heltersberg .

The Hundsbächel rises northeast of the Kleiner Hundsberg . It flows around this mountain in a small left curve and then flows in a south-south-west direction. It flows past the Kasimirfels and finally flows into the Schwarzbach at the Hundsweihersägemühle .

Catchment area

The catchment area of ​​the Hundsbächel is 7.3 km². It drains the Heltersberg Forest and the Wadgasser Forest with the Dinkelsberg , the Kleiner Hundsberg and the Großer Hundsberg .

Buildings

There are several ponds in the course of the stream. The largest of these, shortly before the confluence with the Schwarzbach, was used to operate the Hundsweihersägemühle .
