The Hunza Peak is together with the Bublimotin ( Ladyfinger Peak ) a mountain in the Batura Muztagh in the western part of the Karakoram .
location
It is located on the southwest ridge of Ultar-Sar -Massivs, the south-eastern end of the main ridge of the Batura Muztagh and rises on the northwest side of the Hunzatals .
The secondary summit Bublimotin is a well-known sharp rock needle , but has too low a notch height to be considered an independent summit.
Ascent history
In 1991 the summit was first climbed by a British expedition with Caradog Jones and Mick Fowler over the southwest ridge. In the same year a Swedish team reached the summit via a different route. In 2008 an Austrian expedition consisting of Harry Grün, Klaus Bonazza and Jakob Karner failed because of bad weather on the still unclimbed 1200 m high south face of the Hunza Peak.
