Bojohagur Duanasir or Bojohaghur I is a peak in the Batura Muztagh , a part of the Karakoram .
It is the western summit of a short ridge, the climax of which is the Ultar Sar . It is located about 10 km northeast of Karimabad , a city on the Karakoram Highway , in the autonomous region of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan .
Ascent history
The Bojohagur Duanasir was climbed in 1984 by E. Kisa , M. Nagoshi and R. Okamoto, members of a Japanese expedition led by Tsumeo Omae . The ascent to the summit took place from the Hasanabad glacier over the southwest ridge . On July 28th, three expedition participants reached the summit. Five more followed on July 30th to the summit.
Neighboring peaks and glaciers
The main peak of the massif is the Ultar Sar to the east, which was climbed by a Japanese group in 1996. In the north lies the pyramid-shaped Shispare ( 7611 m ) and along the southwest ridge of the massif are the Hunza Peak ( 6270 m ) and the Bublimotin rock needle ( Ladyfinger Peak ). The glaciers that drain the slopes of the massif are starting clockwise from the north: the Ghulkin Glacier , the Gulmit Glacier , the Ahmad Abad Glacier , the Ultar Glacier, and the Hasanabad Glacier. (Many of these have multiple names.)
