The Husqvarna Nuda 900 is a naked bike from the motorcycle manufacturer Husqvarna Motorcycles , which was built from 2012 to 2013 in Varese , Italy .
Model history
The motorcycle was developed in close cooperation with BMW-Motorrad , since Husqvarna was taken over by BMW AG in 2007 . A modified in-line two-cylinder engine from the BMW F 800 series, which was installed in a likewise modified steel tubular space frame of the BMW F 800 GS, serves as the drive . From 2013 the Nuda 900 was also available with an ABS from Bosch . Production was discontinued in 2013 after Husqvarna was sold to KTM and the remaining stocks of production were sold off. The reason was the too close technical relationship with the BMW F-800 series.
Model variants
It offered two variants - Nuda 900 and Nuda 900 R . The latter had a higher-quality brake on the front wheel, fully adjustable chassis, a different seat, carbon applications on the rear silencer and red instead of black side panels. In addition, the 900 R has a shorter gear ratio, which speaks for better acceleration / better response, but reduces the top speed by approx. 8 km / h. (217 km / h instead of 225 km / h).

The engine of the Nuda 900 comes from the BMW F 800 series, but has a displacement of 898 cm³ due to a 2 mm larger bore (84 mm) and a 5.6 mm larger stroke (81 mm). In addition, it has a crank pin offset of 45 ° and thus an ignition offset of 315 ° / 405 °, which corresponds to that of a V2 engine with a 45 ° cylinder angle. The two-cylinder has an output of 77 kW (105 PS) and produces a maximum torque of 98 Nm.
