The Hutt Peak is a smaller and more pointed mountain peaks in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . With a height of 2,787 meters it is the highest peak of Mount Bursey - massif in the Flood Range .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after Charles R. Hutt, geodesist with the United States Coast Guard , who in 1970 the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station had carried out geomagnetic and psychic surveys.
