Hwang Jun-ho (born August 3, 1993 ) is a South Korean cross-country skier .

Career

Hwang has been competing in FIS races and the cross-country skiing Far East Cup since 2010 . His best place to date was fourth place over 10 km classic in February 2015 in Pyeongchang . At the South Korean cross-country skiing championships in 2013 he was second in the 30 km mass start race and first over 15 km classic. In 2014 he repeated these placements and also won the sprint. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he finished 68th over 15 km classic. In January 2015 he again won the gold medal in the sprint at the South Korean cross-country skiing championships. In summer 2015 he started in the Australia / New Zealand Cup . He finished second in the sprint at Snow Farm and won the 15 km mass start race. He reached fifth place in the overall ranking. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he ran for the first time in the World Cup at the Nordic Opening in Ruka , which he ended prematurely. He finished 105th in the sprint and 103rd place over 10 km classic. In September 2016 he came third in Snow Farm over 10 km freestyle and second in sprint and thus reached tenth place in the overall standings of the Australia / New Zealand Cup. At the Winter Asian Games 2017 in Sapporo , he won the bronze medal with the relay.
