Hypericum jovis is a plant from the genus of hypericum ( Hypericum ).

features

Hypericum jovis is a dwarf shrub that reaches heights of 10 to 60 centimeters. Branches are only present below the previous year's inflorescence . The leaves are four-whirled. The calyx has no glands. The sepals are tiny, very broad at the base and their margins are not translucent. The tip of the capsule is hardly narrowed. The capsule is almost prismatic and covered with irregularly arranged, small, lopsided or non-touching vesicles.

The flowering period extends from April to June.

Occurrence

Hypericum jovis is on Crete in the regional district of Heraklion on Giouchtas , on Asteroussia Mountains and the Ida Mountains endemic . The species grows in crevices at altitudes of 550 to 1500 meters.
