ICC World Cricket League Division One 2007

The ICC World Cricket League Division One 2007 was the first edition of this one-day cricket competition after the dissolution of the ICC 6 Nations Challenge and took place between January 29 and February 7, 2007 in Kenya . The competition was part of the ICC World Cricket League 2007-09 . It also served as a qualifying tournament for the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 . In the final, Kenya beat Scotland with eight wickets and both qualified for the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 in the West Indies .

Attendees

The participants were the best six associate members of the ICC. Neither team relegated to Division Two , with all qualifying for the 2009 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers .

format

In a group stage, each team played each other once. The winner of a game received two points, and a tie or no result received one point. The first two in the group qualified for the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 and contested a final.
