I Can Lose My Heart Tonight is a synthpop song by CC Catch that was written and produced by Dieter Bohlen . It was released on July 29, 1985 on Hansa Records as her first single and was the breakthrough for the newly established performer.

Creation and publication

In his book Nothing but Truth from 2002, Bohlen disrespectfully referred to CC Catch as "waste recycling" for Modern Talking . This song is one of the many that he wrote for Modern Talking, but did not find it good enough for the duo. The protagonist of the song wishes to get to know someone and makes promises to the loved one.

The single was released on July 29, 1985 on Hansa Records. The version is 3:50. A 5:53 minute long 12 "maxi was also released. The title was also featured on numerous compilations .

On November 30, 1985, CC Catch performed the song at Peter's Pop Show in front of an audience of millions in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle . They also offered the piece as in the ARD telecast Formula One and on Spanish television shows.

Cover versions
