I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness is an American indie rock - band from Austin , Texas . The band consists of singer Christian Goyer, guitarists Daniel Del Favero and Ernest Salaz, bassist Edward Robert and drummer Tim White.
history
In 2003 the group released their first EP, three years later the debut album Fear Is on Our Side was released on the Secretly Canadian label . The record was produced by Paul Barker, the former bass player for Ministry . A music video was also shot for the single According to Plan . The album received positive reviews, with Pitchfork Media comparing it to bands like Interpol , Explosions in the Sky and Calla .
An announced successor did not appear at first, from 2007 onwards the band was quiet. It wasn't until 2014, eight years after the debut, that Secretly Canadian announced the release of the second album Dust for October 2014 and presented the song Faust in advance .
