I Would Set Myself on Fire for You was a screamo band from Atlanta , Georgia that existed until 2007 .

history

The band, founded in 2001, released their most important and last album, Believes in Patterns, in 2006.

In 2007 the band decided to split up. The former group members play in other bands such as The Lasch , Fur Elise or .twentytwelve. Furthermore, the band announced that there was still a 7 ″ EP available, which should be released via Delian League Records, but this was delayed by damaged test pressings and the dissolution of said labels, whereupon the EP was finally released in September 2012 as a download via Bandcamp.

style

The style of the band can be assigned to the emo , but much more strongly to the screamo area, with strong influences from very different musical styles being noticeable. The band's music also includes synthesizers .

In addition to the more experimental installation of classical instruments such as the violin or violin , the two-part male and female singing, which typically alternates between long, desperate outbursts of screaming and screaming and half-screaming texts, and calm emotional singing and spoken parts, is formative.

In this particular case, the 'rose' represents the I Would Etc. 7 ″ and the 'thorn' is the seriously fucked B-side of said record. Expect some delays while I try to fix this. "
