Ian Buchanan (actor)

Ian Buchanan (born June 16, 1957 or 1956 in Hamilton , Scotland ) is a Scottish actor and former model .

Life

Buchanan was born the second of six children. His father was a foreman, his mother a nurse . At the age of eighteen he worked as a bartender, at twenty he ran a restaurant. He then worked as a model in London. In 1983 the Ford Modeling Agency brought him to New York City. There he trained as an actor at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and personally from Marcia Haufrecht. He then moved to California, where he began his career in 1986 with the television series General Hospital . Since then, Buchanan has appeared in various television series and films. He played u. a. in the two David Lynch series Twin Peaks (1990–1991) and On the Air (1992) with. In the Columbo episode Who Laughs Last, he played the murderer.
