Ian Turner (born April 19, 1989 in Wilton , Cork ) is an Irish football player who has been under contract with the Irish club Cobh Ramblers since 2019 .

Career

His career began mainly in right midfield, at St Patrick's Athletic also as a striker, Turner in the 2010/2011 season at Cork City in the First Division, the second highest division in Ireland, and was used 29 times this season. The next season he scored his first goal in the First Division in a 4-0 away win against SD Galway in the 78th minute. After Cork City's promotion to the Premier Division in 2011 , Turner played in Ireland's top division.

During the 2013/2014 season he moved to Limerick FC on loan , where he played until 2015 . That year he played his most successful season with 8 goals in 32 games and was voted Player of the Month in October. After another season with Cork City (2016) and Limerick FC (2017), he moved to St Patrick's Athletic in 2017 . In the UEFA Europa League 2016/17 he was only a substitute in the six games for Cork City.

Since 2019 he has been playing with the Cobh Ramblers in the First Division.

He played over 20 times in the League of Ireland Cup and FAI Cup by the 2018/2019 season . In 2011 he played all League Cup games for Cork City up to the narrow final defeat against Derry City. In 2013 he reached the semifinals of the Setanta Sports Cup . In 2016 he won the Irish Football Supercup (officially called FAI President's Cup ) with Cork City (2-0 against Dundalk FC ) and played in this game on February 27, 2016 for the entire game.
