The ibW Höhere Fachschule Südostschweiz is an institution of the tertiary education sector in the Grisons canton capital Chur . It emerged from the former institute for professional development, from which the abbreviation ibW has been retained. The school building is located directly at Chur train station and part of the building complex is adjacent to the Health and Social Education Center . It is part of the Graubünden campus .
structure
The ibW has existed since 1990 as a cantonally recognized and subsidized institution at the level of a higher technical school . It has branches in Maienfeld , where the former Wald education center was integrated, in Sargans , Savognin and in Ziegelbrücke in Glarus .
The ibW is divided into four sub-schools:
- Technology and IT
- Forest, wood and construction
- Languages and seminars
- economy

The offerings include around 25 departments and around 100 courses and range from HF degrees to federally recognized specialist training courses to general adult education courses .
