Ida Baier , married Ida Liebhardt or Ida Liebhardt-Baier ( March 16, 1863 in Vienna - July 1, 1933 there ) was an Austrian opera singer ( alto ).

Life

Ida Baier was the student of Mathilde Marchesi (she took dramatic lessons from August Förster ) and before joining the Association of the Vienna Court Opera House (1880) she was engaged in Graz (as first contralto), where she said goodbye as "Amneris". Her first role in Vienna was "Martha Schwertlein". She worked there until 1906. Her further life until her death in 1933 is unknown.

She was the sister of the opera singer Anna Baier , her husband was Ignaz Liebhardt .
