Iffley Meadows is an island in the River Thames near Oxford in Oxfordshire , England . The island is bounded to the east by the main arm of the Thames and to the west by the Weirs Mill Stream and the Hinksey Stream , which are tributaries of the Thames.
The Iffley Lock is located on the eastern edge of the island and provides access to the island via a footbridge. In the north and south the island is connected to the mainland by a weir . In the south the Isis Bridge (A423) runs over the island, in the north the Donnington Bridge (B4495) runs over the island.
