Ignacio Hierro González (born June 22, 1978 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .

Life

Hierro began his active career at his hometown club, Club America, and in 1999 moved to its arch-rivals Chivas Guadalajara . He then returned to Mexico City, where he played in four stages for the CF Atlante and ended his active career in the 2008/09 season with their farm team Potros Chetumal . In the meantime he played for four other clubs, although he made the fewest appearances of his entire career at CF Monterrey (only 4), but celebrated his greatest success when he won the Mexican football championship with the Rayados in the Clausura 2003 .

Between 1999 and 2002 Hierro came to a total of 11 missions for the Mexican national soccer team .
