Ghetto Cowboy is the sixth solo album by the US rapper Yelawolf . It was released for download and streaming on November 1, 2019 via his own independent label Slumerican Records . At the beginning of 2020 it was also published as a CD on the Slumerican website. The album is the first since his split from Eminem's label Shady Records a few months earlier.

In addition to Yelawolf, seven music producers were involved in the production of the album , most of whom Jim Jonsin produced with four songs. Other music comes from DJ Paul , DJ Klever, Brian Jones, Mike Hartnett, Twhy and Kenneth Pruitt.
Cover design
The album cover shows Yelawolf wearing a hat and sunglasses and turning his back on the viewer. He is sitting on a motorcycle that is standing on a sunny meadow and lighting a cigarette. The word SLUM is on the back of his motorcycle . No further lettering was used.
Guest Posts
Other artists besides Yelawolf are only represented on three tracks on the album. So DJ Paul on the Skit A Message from DJ Paul and the song Country Rich heard. The rappers Cook Up Boss and Big Henri are involved in Keep on Rollin '.

The first single Unnatural Born Killer was released for download on August 9, 2019 . The second release, Opie Taylor , was released on October 11, 2019. Both songs could not be placed in the charts. In addition to music videos for both singles, a video for You and Me was shot.

On the website zweidrittelkrach.de was Ghetto Cowboy rated six out of ten possible points. The album contains “the usual good storytelling” by Yelawolf, who “can definitely count himself among the elite in songwriting”. However, the second half of the album is "significantly weaker" than the first and seems "a bit very soft, very melancholy and sad."
