Ignaz Etrich (politician)
Ignaz Etrich (born December 27, 1921 in Schatzlar , Czechoslovakia , † May 28, 1989 ) was a German politician ( SED ). He was the deputy minister for construction in the GDR.
Life
Etrich, the son of a textile worker, completed a commercial apprenticeship in a construction company after attending school . He later did military service and was taken prisoner by the Soviets .
After his return he worked in the Bau-Union in Heringsdorf and Schwerin . He became a member of the SED. From 1951 Etrich worked in the Ministry of Construction. He qualified as a civil engineer . From 1965 he was Deputy Minister for Construction with responsibility for agricultural construction. On February 27, 1966 he was elected to the Agriculture Council of the GDR . He last lived in Berlin.
