Ignaz Franz Felix Freiherr von Roll zu Bernau (* 1719 ; † July 24, 1795 at Morsbroich Castle ) was from 1761 to 1795 Landkomtur of the Teutonic Order of the Koblenz Chamber of Commerce and befriended the Cologne Elector, Archbishop and Grand Master Clemens August I. of Bavaria . His uncle was the Elector's personal friend and confidante until he died in a duel with Friedrich Christian von Beverförde in 1733 at Werries .

In 1744 after the death of Count Ambrosius Franz von Virmont and Bretzenheim , he or his father Karl Hartmann Freiherr von Roll zu Bernau (1680–1757) was enfeoffed by the Cologne elector and archbishop with the imperial rule of Bretzenheim . On April 28, 1772 von Roll zu Bernau sold the rule to Karl August von Heydeck (son of the Elector Palatine Karl Theodor ), which the Cologne Elector approved on August 16, 1773.

During his time as land commander in 1762 he had the Hermülheim Castle, which belonged to the order, expanded as the summer residence of the Ballei. In the “Hürth-Mitte” residential area that is now located there, the “Rollweg”, a side path of the Komturring, reminds of him and his rule in Hermülheim . In 1762, Roll acquired the former Plettenberger Hof in Bonn, which was then the royal seat of Cologne , and sold it again in 1772.

In 1773 he had Gut Morsbroich demolished and in 1774 a small pleasure palace built as a copy of Falkenlust Castle in Brühl , which still stands as the middle section of today 's Morsbroich Castle and has become one of Leverkusen's landmarks.

The city of Leverkusen commemorates him with a street in Schlebusch .
