Ignaz Horvath

Ignaz Horvath (born February 1, 1895 in Kleinwarasdorf , † April 22, 1973 in Oberpullendorf ) was an Austrian clergyman and politician during the time of Austrofascism . Horvath was from 1934 to 1938 of the state parliament of Burgenland .

Horvath was born the son of the farmer Thomas Horvath from Kleinwarasdorf and grew up in a Burgenland-Korat family. After primary school he attended grammar school in Preßburg , Ödenburg and Raab and studied Catholic theology in the seminary in Győr / Raab. Horvath was ordained a priest on June 11, 1918 and subsequently worked as a chaplain in Antau , Kittsee and Frankenau-Unterpullendorf . He was pastor in Neuberg in Burgenland for thirteen years and in 1938 he became pastor in Frankenau-Unterpfullendorf. In 1965 he received the title of professor for his services as a writer. From November 11, 1934 to March 12, 1938, Horvath was a member of the State Parliament of Burgenland.
