Igor Anatoljewitsch Bortnikow ( Russian Игорь Анатольевич Бортников ; born June 8, 1989 in Leninogorsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Arlan Kökschetau since July 2018 .
Career
Igor Bortnikov started his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . In the 2007/08 season , the attacker made his breakthrough in Neftechimik's second team in the third-rate Perwaja League . In 73 games he scored 61 points, including 26 goals and also made his debut for Neftechimiks professional team in the Superliga . Since the 2008/09 season he has been on the ice for Neftechimik in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . From 2008 to 2010 he played in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, for Neftjanik Leninogorsk , Ariada-Akpars Wolschsk and Ischstal Ischewsk . Since 2009 he has also been playing for Neftechimik's junior team in the multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga .
In the 2010/11 season Bortnikow was able to fight for a regular place in the KHL team of Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk. In a total of 51 games he scored eight goals and gave nine assists.
During the Expansion Draft on June 17, 2013, Bortnikov was selected by Admiral Vladivostok . In the summer of 2017, Bortnikow completed a trial training at HK Sochi , but did not receive a contract.
