Igor Georgijewitsch Kolodinski ( Russian Игорь Георгиевич Колодинский ; born July 7, 1983 in Magdeburg ) is a Russian volleyball and beach volleyball player.

Career

Kolodinski first played in the hall at VK Lokomotiv-Belogorje . In the 2002/03 season he succeeded with the club in the triples of the Russian championship, national cup victory and winning the Champions League. Belgorod was able to defend the championship and Champions League titles in the following season. In 2005 Kolodinski became Russian champion for the third time in a row and a year later it was enough for second place.

In the summer of 2005 he also began a career in beach volleyball. He played his first two international tournaments in Salvador da Bahia and Cape Town with Stanislaw Eremin , before he first competed with Leonid Kalinine in 2006 and became Russian champion. In Vitória he had his first joint appearance with his long-term partner Dmitri Barsuk and immediately achieved a top ten placement. In 2007 the duo won three bronze medals at open tournaments. At the World Championships in Gstaad, Kolodinski / Barsuk only lost to the Americans Todd Rogers / Phil Dalhausser in the final . They also finished fifth in the European Championship in Valencia and second in front of their home crowd in Saint Petersburg . After finishing third at the 2008 European Championship , they became the first Russian beach volleyball player to win a Grand Slam tournament in Klagenfurt . Then they took part in the Olympic tournament in Beijing and finished ninth.

In the 2008/09 season Kolodinski played again indoors at VK Dynamo Krasnodar . The last big beach success with Barsuk was the victory at the Kristiansand Open 2009. After that, Kolodinski moved to ZSK Gazprom-Ugra Surgut , before he returned to Belgorod in December 2010. In the sand he formed a new duo with Jaroslaw Koschkarjow from the Prague Open 2010 and finished fifth at the Grand Slams in Stavanger and Gstaad as well as at the European Championships in Berlin .
