Igor Obukhov (born April 4, 1969 in Kirov ) is a former Soviet - Belarusian cross-country skier .

Career

Obuchow ran in January 1991 in Minsk his first of a total of 20 individual World Cup races , which he finished in 13th place over 15 km freestyle. This was also his best individual result in the World Cup. At the 1991 Winter Universiade in Sapporo , he won bronze over 30 km classic and silver over 15 km. At the World Championships in March 1993 in Falun , he finished 25th over 30 km classic and seventh with the relay. The following year he came at the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer on the 62nd place over 10 km classic, on the 46th place in the pursuit and on the 25th place over 50 km classic. Together with Viktor Kamotsky , Sjarhej Dalidowitsch and Vyacheslav Plaksunow , he won 12th place in the season. At the Winter Universiade 1995 in Candanchú he ran on 53rd place over 30 km freestyle and 35th place over 15 km classic. He completed his last World Cup race in February 1996 in Kawgolowo , which he finished classically in 44th place over 15 km.
