Ilka von Boeselager
Ilka Freifrau von Boeselager , née Bodewig, divorced Keller (born August 21, 1944 in Bad Wiessee ), is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 2017 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .
biography
After completing school in 1961 with the technical college entrance qualification , she completed an apprenticeship as a travel agent by 1964 . Until 1985 she worked in travel agencies, most recently as office manager and member of the management. Von Boeselager has been an entrepreneur in the tourism industry since 1985. She founded a medium-sized travel agency chain in the greater Cologne / Bonn area. Her daughter Kristina Keller has been managing the company since January 2017.
Ilka von Boeselager joined the CDU in 1973 . From 1974 to 1989 she was a member of the council of the municipality of Swisttal and from 1974 to 1985 chairwoman of the Swisttal women's union . In 1979 she was elected to the district assembly of the Rhein-Sieg district , to which she belonged until 1994. Between 1995 and 2001, von Boeselager took over the chairmanship of the CDU community association in Swisttal. For many years she was involved in the CDU executive boards of the district and state.
In the legislative periods from 1990 to 2017, she represented the state electoral district Rhein-Sieg-Kreis III in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia as a directly elected member . During her membership in parliament she was a. a. Spokeswoman for the CDU parliamentary group for European and one-world politics, cultural and agricultural policy spokeswoman, full member of the economic committee and the council of elders of the state parliament. Von Boeselager is a member of the board of directors of Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln (WDR). For years she has been the patron of the Evangelical Church's work for the disabled in the Rhein-Sieg district. Von Boeselager is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Development and Peace Foundation.
Ilka von Boeselager's husband belongs to the Boeselager family . She is the mother of two children.
