The Ilog ( eng .: Ilog River ) is a river in the Negros Occidental Province in the Philippines . It rises in the central mountains in the southwest of the island of Negros . The river flows into the Gulf of Panay near the municipality of Ilog . Its main tributary is the Hilabangan, which joins it 25 km from the mouth of the Ilog.

In the estuary area, the river forms an approx. 50 km² river delta that is overgrown with large mangrove forests with large mudflats in the coastal area . The delta is also used for the establishment of aquacultures and also includes areas for growing rice . The Ilog Delta is an important resting place for migratory birds on their way to their wintering areas. A total of 39 species of fish have been recorded in the waters of the Ilog , of which 36 are fished . 17 species of snail , 20 species of mussel , 22 species of crustacean , one species of beetle snail, and one species of armpods were also recorded.

The region in which the river lies has a tropical and humid climate with two distinct seasons. The dry season in the region is from November to April, the rest of the year there is sometimes heavy rainfall. In the headwaters of the Hilabangan Rivers is the Ilog-Hilabangan Watershed Forest Reserve , which is home to many endemic animal species.
