The Ilona is a 73.69 m long yacht owned by the Australian businessman Frank Lowy . She was designed by Redmann Whiteley Dixon and built by the Dutch Amels shipyard in Makkum , a subsidiary of the Damen Shipyards Group .
history
The Ilona is already the fourth yacht of the owner with this name. The first two were designed by the American Jack Hargrave and built in Australia. The third Ilona was designed by the British Ed Dubois. It was completed in 1999 and is 45 meters long.
Furnishing
The boat is of two 1865 kW strong Caterpillar driven engines and has a travel speed of 16 knots .
The equipment of the Ilona includes a 14-seat cinema, two 9.5 m long dinghies and a helicopter . The yacht has six cabins for up to 16 guests. A special feature is the helicopter landing pad at the stern of the yacht. This, including the helicopter, can be completely lowered into the stern.
