Ilona Buchem (born April 16, 1976 ) is a German communication scientist. She is professor for communication and media studies at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin in Faculty I Economics and Social Sciences .

Career

Ilona Buchem studied communications at Concordia University in the USA and Educational Sciences at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany . Ilona Buchem holds a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Warsaw . She also received a certificate in business administration from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland .

In 2009 Buchem completed her doctorate ( PhD ) at the Humboldt University in Berlin in business education. She wrote her dissertation as part of her work at Daimler AG , where she designed and evaluated technology-based learning solutions for the sales department .

Teaching

Ilona Buchem teaches at the Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin in the areas of (digital) media , corporate communication , project management and digital learning in the business administration ( Bachelor ) and media informatics ( Master ) courses .

In university operations, she also acts as digitization officer and head of the communication laboratory in Faculty I, Economics and Social Sciences. In addition, she is a member of the digitization commission of the Beuth University of Technology.

She also works as a reviewer for journals and was a member of the program committee of several specialist conferences .
