Haller level
Location of the Haller level |
The Haller level in the narrower sense is a sub-area of the Hohenlohe level in the Baden-Württemberg district of Schwäbisch Hall . In the natural division of Germany, it is the natural sub- unit No. 127.40 of the Neckar and Tauber-Gäuplatten in the south-west German layer level country .
Geographical location
The Haller level is bordered by the Kocher in the west and north, the Bühler in the east and the Limpurger Mountains in the south.
According to another, scenic view, the area to the east of the Bühler, referred to by others as the Ilshofen plain, also belongs to it, in this understanding the borders in the south are the step edge of the Swabian-Franconian Forest , in the west the Kocher, in the northeast the Jagst . The exact borders to the east and north are vague in this case, but in any case the area around Crailsheim is no longer included, and neither are the plateaus between Kocher and Jagst, which are located well beyond the northernmost municipal areas of Ilshofen (municipality exclave around Obersteinach) .
designation
The Haller level is named after the former imperial city Hall am Kocher (today Schwäbisch Hall ). This had extensive land ownership and sovereign rights outside of its actual city limits. A large part of the Hall Plain was part of this Halle land territory.
