action

A sophisticated serial killer leaves a drawn symbol as a sign of identification at his crime scenes in the greater Stockholm area and can evade exposure by the police for two and a half years. The committed police student Johan Ståhl is involved in the investigation of this mysterious series of murders during his training due to his remarkable analytical talent. Since the homicide squad suspects the perpetrator to be among the students at Uppsala University , Johan is smuggled in there as an undercover agent. He does not go undetected and immediately receives an anonymous threat: If he does not stop his espionage activities, his girlfriend Amanda has to pay with her life.

When Johan finds his teacher Kjell Johansson hanged together with a suicide note in Kjell's own apartment, the case seems to have been resolved. But now Amanda becomes the target of the real culprit. He prefers to kill people with deficits because he sees them as endangering the further development of humanity (evolution). Amanda, for example, struggled with learning difficulties at university.
