Beugel became known in German-speaking countries with two small books translated by Lore Grages : Was Eva thinks about Adam (original: Een vrouw over mannen , 1946/1948) and, as a suitable counterpart, Was Adam thinks about Eva (original: Een man over vrouwen , 1946/1948) was first published in 1955 by Sanssouci Verlag and was sold in further editions for over 40 years - most recently by Carl Hanser Verlag .
