Incisa in Val d'Arno

Incisa in Val d'Arno is a district of Figline e Incisa Valdarno with 6530 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2013) in the metropolitan city of Florence in the Tuscany region in Italy .

Location of Incisa in the province of Florence

The place extends over approx. 27 km². It is located about 20 km southeast of Florence on the Arno .

Other districts include Burchio, La Fonte, La Massa, Le Valli, Loppiano, Palazzolo, Pian dell'Isola, Poggio alla Croce, San Michele and Santa Maria Maddalena.

The neighboring towns are Figline Valdarno , Greve in Chianti , Reggello and Rignano sull'Arno .

The district of Loppiano is strongly influenced by the Focolare Movement , which established its first settlement there in 1964.

On January 1, 2014, Incisa founded the new municipality of Figline e Incisa Valdarno in Val d'Arno with the neighboring village of Figline Valdarno.
