Indulis Bikše (born September 15, 1995 in Madona ) is a Latvian cross-country skier .

Career

Bikše, who starts for Sporta skola Arkādija, finished 79th in the 10 km freestyle and 77th place in the sprint at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2013 in Liberec . His best result at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2013 in Predeal was 35th place over 10 km freestyle. The following year, at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2014 in Fiemme Valley, he achieved 76th place in sprint, 73rd place in skiathlon and 59th place over 10 km classic. In the 2014/15 season he reached 52nd place in sprint, 33rd place in skiathlon and 17th place over 10 km freestyle at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2015 in Almaty . He also achieved 79th place over 15 km freestyle at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun . In summer 2015 he started at the Rollerski Junior World Championships 2015 in Fiemme Valley. He came in 12th place in the mountain run, on the eighth place in the mass start race and on the seventh place in the team sprint. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season, he made his debut in Kuusamo in the cross-country skiing world cup , finishing 114th in the sprint and 105th in the 10 km freestyle. In January 2016 he became Latvian champion over 10 km. At the U23 World Championships in 2016 in Rasnov , he achieved 46th place over 15 km classic, 40th place over 15 km freestyle and 32nd place in sprint. At the Tour de Ski 2016/17 , which he finished in 40th place, he got his first World Cup points with 27th place in the final stage in Fiemme Valley. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2017 , he finished 64th over 15 km classic, 58th place in sprint and 57th place in 50 km mass start race. In March 2017 he became Latvian champion over 15 km classic and in March 2018 over 15 km freestyle, over 20 km classic and sprint. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he ran 65th in the 15km freestyle, 63rd in the sprint and 57th in the 50km mass start race.
