Industrial Strength Records is a Hardcore techno - / Gabber - music label .
The label was founded in 1991 by Lenny Dee . It is based in New York and was one of the world's pioneers in hardcore techno and gabber .
Importance and priorities
ISR was one of the first hardcore techno labels in the world and one of the first labels in the US to release electronic music. On Industrial Strength Records, among others, Carl Cox , Richie Hawtin , Laurent Garnier , Laurent Hô , Daft Punk (as Draft Ponk), Marc Acardipane , Paul Elstak , Manu le Malin , Cirillo , The Horrorist and Nosebleed . The later death metal band The Berzerker also released on ISR.
Furthermore, ISR has several sub-labels such as IST, Ruff Beats Records, LD Records, High Density Records and Mental Venom.
In total, more than 750 titles have been created since 1991 and over 3 million records have been sold.
