Ines Schweizer (born January 1, 1982 ) is a former Swiss biathlete and cross-country skier who started for the RG Churfirsten .

Career

Between 1999 and 2004, Schweizer competed in more than 40 international cross-country skiing races , especially the Continental Cup and FIS races . She did not make the breakthrough in the sport, but she was able to place well several times.

Schweizer had her first international appearances in the European Biathlon Cup in the 2003/04 season in Ridnaun , where she was 44th in the sprint. Some time later she won first points as 28th in a sprint race in Meribel. In Gurnigel she achieved her best placings with a 16th place in the sprint and 17th place in the pursuit race. She had her last international assignments in the 2004/05 season in Garmisch-Partenkirchen .

At the Swiss Biathlon Championships in 2005 , Schweizer won a complete set of medals. After she had to admit defeat to Selina Gasparin and Caroline Kilchenmann in the sprint , she won her only national championship title in the mass start race. In the individual she was second behind Kilchenmann. In 2006 she won bronze again in the mass start race behind Gasparin and Kilchenmann.
