Inga bella is a species of tree from the subfamily of the mimosa family (Mimosoideae). It is native to Central America.

description

Inga bella is a tree whose bark and branches are gray, blackish cork and bare. The leaves are pinnate in two pairs, the leaflets obovate to lanceolate. The leaf hachis is 4.5 to 7 inches long, winged along the upper two thirds with wings 1 cm wide. The stipules are permanent and up to 2 inches long.

The inflorescences arise from the leaf axils as well as the axils of non-developed leaves. They are umbel-like, the shaft is 0.2 to 2 centimeters long, the rachis around 3 millimeters. The flowers are greenish-white. The oblong, round, flat fruits have prominent transverse ribs, are hairless, originally greenish-white, later dark brown and shiny.

The species is endemic to the Golfo Dulce region of Costa Rica and neighboring areas of Panama.
