Ingeldorf ( Luxembourgish Angelduerf ) is a village in the municipality of Erpeldingen an der Sauer in the canton of Diekirch in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

Ingeldorf lies on the left bank of the Sauer between Ettelbrück and Diekirch . The Ettelbrück – Diekirch railway, the last remaining stretch of the old Ettelbrück – Grevenmacher railway line still used and preserved, runs directly on the northern edge of the village , but Ingeldorf does not have its own railway stop.
General and history
Ingeldorf was first mentioned under the name Engendorff in the 13th century . At the beginning of the 19th century the place belonged first to the municipality of Diekirch, then to Ettelbrück and since 1850 to the municipality Erpeldingen, which has been called Erpeldingen an der Sauer since 2014.
Worth seeing
- Catholic branch church St. Celsus, built around 1701 and rebuilt in 1909.
