The Ingenika River is a tributary of Williston Lake in the Canadian province of British Columbia .
The Ingenika River rises in the Swannell Ranges , a mountain range of the Omineca Mountains . It flows mainly in an easterly direction through the mountains and flows into the Ingenika Arm , the estuary into the Finlay Reach , the northern part of the Williston Lake reservoir. In the past, before the damming of the Peace River , the Ingenika River was a right tributary of the Finlay River . Major tributaries are McConnell Creek , Wrede Creek , Pelly Creek, and Swannell River . The river has a length of about 140 km.
The mean discharge above the mouth of the Swannell River is 58.2 m³ / s. The highest runoffs usually occur in June.
