Inger Lise Hansen (artist)

Inger Lise Hansen (born April 15, 1963 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian visual artist and film director .

Life

Inger Lise Hansen studied fine arts at the University of East London and the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design . She received her Masters degree from the San Francisco Art Institute . In her artistic work, Hansen often deals with the phenomenon of time. Her first films were shown at the Tate Modern , the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Center Georges Pompidou , among others . Important early festival participations include the Hiroshima Kokusai Animation Festival 1998, the Tampere International Short Film Festival 1999 and the Cork Film Festival 2000. In 2009 she was artist in residence at the Crossing Europe film festival in Linz .

Between 2006 and 2009 a trilogy of short films with a reversed perspective was made : Hansen shot Proximity in Nørrejylland , Parallax in Upper Austria and Traveling Fields on the Kola Peninsula . The films from this trilogy have been shown at numerous film festivals. Parallax was awarded the first Elfi von Dassanowsky Prize at the Vienna Independent Shorts 2010 film festival . Traveling Fields received the Peter Wilde Award at the Ann Arbor Film Festival 2010 and an honorable mention at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen 2010 .
