Ingimundur Ingimundarson (born January 29, 1980 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player .

Ingimundur Ingimundarson was initially under contract with the Icelandic club Íþróttafélag Reykjavíkur , the Swiss club Pfadi Winterthur , the Danish club Ajax Heros and the Norwegian first division club Elverum Håndball . He then played from 2008 to 2010 in the handball Bundesliga at GWD Minden . He then moved to the Danish first division club AaB Håndbold . In the 2011/12 season Ingimundur Ingimundarson ran for Fram Reykjavík and then returned to ÍR Reykjavík. In the summer of 2014 he signed a contract with KA Akureyri .

Ingimundarson has played 123 international matches for the Icelandic national team. At the 2008 Olympics , he won the silver medal. In the summer of 2012 he again took part in the Olympic Games in London .
