Ingo Anderbrügge (born January 2, 1964 in Datteln ) is a former German soccer and American football player and today's soccer coach .

Player career

After a few years of youth at Germania Datteln and SpVgg Erkenschwick, Anderbrügge began his career at Borussia Dortmund . In 1988 he moved to FC Schalke 04 , with whom he won the 1997 UEFA Cup . Anderbrügge was appointed to the FC Schalke 04 team of the century. In January 2000 he switched to Sportfreunde Siegen . In the summer of 2001 he ended his career as a professional football player.

Coaching career

For many years he directed the training camp for unemployed football players of the Association of Contract Footballers . From March to October 2005 he worked as a trainer for the regional league team Werner SC 2000 . In October 2005 he moved to SpVgg Erkenschwick . He stayed there until January 2006. From February 2006 to February 2007 he coached VfB Hüls . From summer 2007 he coached Wacker Burghausen , but was released in March 2008.

Others

Before his football career, Anderbrügge completed an apprenticeship with a mining equipment supplier in Castrop-Rauxel . For a few years he ran a sports shop in Datteln and in Marl , which he sold after about four years. In 1997 he founded a football school and also works as a consultant for the players' interests agency .

In the years 2003 and 2004 Anderbrugge played on the position of the kicker for the NFL Europe team Rhein Fire . In 2013 he released two soccer instructional videos with the European Academy of Sports and Training.
