Insanity is a hardcore band from Lucerne , Switzerland, founded in 2009 .

history

Between 2012 and 2019, Insanity managed to rise to an internationally known hardcore band, which produced several studio albums, music videos and concerts across Europe with Hatebreed , Madball , Agnostic Front , Sick of It All , Terror , Comeback Kid , Born From Pain , and may have some headlining tours.

Determining a year when the Swiss band from Lucerne was founded turns out to be difficult. The band members made music together as young people in 2004 and developed together over several years. The band's line-up has remained unchanged since 2009 . In 2012, the group of five played outside the country for the first time, after making a name for themselves with their New York Hardcore .

In 2013 the first studio album No Limit and the music video of the same name were released. This was followed by international concerts with well-known headliners , a 2-week tour of Cuba and two other music videos. Insanity released their next album Ready To Row in 2014 . Several tours in Europe followed, including a Balkan tour, further music videos and a large number of concerts.

After several short tours in Switzerland and abroad, tours in the Czech Republic, South Korea, Japan and all of Europe followed in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

In May 2017, Insanity released the LP Toss a Coin along with several music videos. In the same year the band toured Japan and South Korea and completed a longer tour in Europe and other festival shows and club gigs in Europe.

After touring Southeast Asia in 2018, Insanity set about writing a new LP. On December 13, 2019, the album Moneyfest was finally released as digipack and vinyl via Bastardized Recordings . Moneyfest stands out slightly from its predecessors. The album contains capitalism and social criticism with wit, irony and plenty of anger, packed in a mixture of hard metal riffs, aggressive hardcore and sweeping punk melodies. The album release show took place at the sold-out Schüür Konzerthaus in Lucerne , Switzerland. For the three single releases Moneyfest, You Will Die First and Food Comes First , Insanity released a music video each on Spaceuntravel . In addition, a live video of the release show was published in January 2020.

Insanity stand for melodic old school - hardcore that runs through many transition shouts and Sing Alongs distinguished and in York New Tradition relies on driving, rousing rhythms. The content is about social criticism. The band is known for their music videos and life shows .
