Born from Pain is a Dutch hardcore punk band from Heerlen .

history

Born from Pain was founded in 1997 in Heerlen. All band members had already gained hardcore experience in various bands at that time . Bass player Rob and singer Che in particular wanted to bring a new sound to the man that should sound raw and unpolished. The music should "punch in the face". They played their first gigs shortly after they were founded . The first publication should take until 1999. A first demo with 2 tracks on vinyl was released. In 2001 the first single called Immortality followed . In the meantime various concerts have been played.

In 2002, the band released their first album Reclaiming the Crown , which contained 10 tracks and was enthusiastically received by experts. This was followed by a tour with the Metalcore veterans from Hatebreed and at the latest after the release of the second album Sands of Time in 2003 it was clear that a good new band had entered the international stage. Tours with Terror and Madball followed . Tours in the USA and Japan followed .

With the release of the long player In Love With The End in 2005, the band made their breakthrough. The first headlining tour followed and they supported the likes of Six Feet Under , Soulfly , Agnostic Front and Napalm Death . Since the release of the last album, the band has been on tour almost continuously. However, they found some time to record their new longplayer. The summer of 2006 was particularly successful in that they played at Europe's largest festivals. The Wacken Open Air , the Earthshaker Fest and the With Full Force . From December 4th to 14th, 2008 the band toured Europe as part of the “Persistence Tour 2008” together with Sick of It All , Heaven Shall Burn , Terror and a few others.

In November 2006 they released their album War . With this album, care was taken to meet the hardcore and metal demands of the fans. A relatively large number of guest appearances were also incorporated. Among others, Pepe from Hatesphere and Barney from Napalm Death. Born from Pain tries to stay true to itself in each album, but also to bring many new things and variety into their music and lyrics.

On March 16, 2007, the band's label , Metal Blade Records , announced that longtime singer Che was separating from the band. The separation is not artistic, but rather personal. The successor was for a short time Carl Schwartz, who already played with well-known bands like Terror and First Blood , but left the band after a short time and was replaced by Kevin Otto for a year. On the Hell On Earth Tour 2007 the terror singer Scott Vogel took over the position at the microphone for a short time.

In the summer of 2008 it was announced that Rob Franssen, originally bassist, would act as the new singer and Andries Beckers, from the band The Setup, could be engaged as the new bassist. Furthermore, Roel Klomp, who had to leave the band due to a serious arm injury, is permanently replaced by his representative Roy Moonen.

On October 31, 2008 the album Survival was released .

On February 9, 2010 it was published by the band that Roy Moonen was replaced by Igor Wouters on drums. Until then, Igor Wouters worked for the bands Homethrust, Angelcrew and Backfire. In July 2010 the band went on a tour of Asia.

In 2011 Born Form Pain worked on a project with the rapper Volkan T and the rapper Ayben.

In August 2012, the band announced that founding member Servé Olieslagers was back in the band.

In December 2012 the band introduced their new drummer Max van Winkelhof.

The seventh album Dance with the Devil was released on November 28, 2014 .

The new album True Love is due to be released in February 2019 .
