Inspector House (Brandenburg an der Havel)
The Inspektorhaus (also Inspektorenhaus ) is a historic building in the city of Brandenburg an der Havel . It is designated as an architectural monument .
history
The inspector house was probably built in 1742 on the site of the former city courtyard. The building was used as a home for an inspector . It later became a warehouse. After the renovation and restoration , a restaurant , the inspector's house, was relocated. There are public toilets in the wing.
Building
The inspector house is a baroque building in the old town of Brandenburg at the old town market 9. It stands in the direct vicinity of the old town hall and other listed buildings, with which it forms an outstanding building ensemble .
The house is free and traufständig to the marketplace. It is a one-story half - timbered house . The front is plastered. The entrance to the Old Town Market is simply designed. The rectangular windows are provided with shutters . The lower area of the south-western outer wall is also plastered. The framework is exposed on the northeast, the rear and in the area of the gable of the southwest outer wall. The inspector's house has a mansard roof . This is crippled at the gables . It is covered with red beaver tails . A round dormer window is worked into the roof as a window opening towards the market . At the rear there is a one-story wing with a gable roof .
