Functions
The components of the Intel Compute Stick allow use in the same way as is possible with other HDMI sticks. The stick's operating system can be accessed by connecting it to an HDMI-compatible television or monitor. For example, the Intel Compute Stick can be used as a streaming adapter , similar to Amazon Fire TV devices . Thanks to its advanced components and the full Windows or Ubuntu operating system, the Intel Compute Stick can be used like a conventional PC or notebook . The HDMI stick can be controlled via USB or Bluetooth ( mouse and keyboard ), for example.
reception
Various IT magazines describe the Intel Compute Stick not like a typical HDMI stick, but like a full-fledged computer. The Computer Bild wrote: With the Intel Compute Stick, Intel packs a complete PC into an HDMI stick. Golem.de thinks that Intel is trying to invent a new device class . Both praise the comparatively high performance of the "mini-PC".
