International Association for Jazz Education

The International Association for Jazz Education was an international association for jazz education that existed until 2009. She published a magazine (four times a year) and two newsletters.

history

The International Association for Jazz Education emerged in 1989 as a non-profit organization from the International Association of Jazz Educators (since 1971), the predecessor of which, the National Association of Jazz Education in the United States of America, was founded in 1968. In some cases, it organized more than 7,000 teachers, jazz musicians, jazz producers and other interested parties from thirty countries and organized annual conferences at which numerous musicians presented themselves with concert performances. 2008 had to International Association for Jazz Education an insolvency proceedings begin, during which it was dissolved.

IAJE Jazz Educators Hall of Fame

With the inclusion in this Hall of Fame personalities were honored, whose musical contributions and their contributions to jazz pedagogy were groundbreaking for the worldwide jazz pedagogy.
