The International Inline Skater Hockey Federation (IISHF) is the international umbrella organization of the national inline skater hockey associations. The association is based in La Heutte in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .

history

As a forerunner of today's IISHF, the European Street Hockey Association (ESHA) was founded in 1988 by the associations from England and Germany under the leadership of Alistair Gordon (England) and Ingo Goerke (Germany) .

In 1992 the official "International Street Hockey Association" (ISHA) was founded as the successor to ESHA in Woking (England). The founding members were the associations from Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands. After the associations of Switzerland and Denmark were added, the ISHA was renamed the “International Skater Hockey Federation” (ISHF) in 1993. In 1998 the ISHF was renamed what is today the "International Inline Skater Hockey Federation" (IISHF).
